Retirement home in Opitciwan

The new residence of a surface of 1270 m2 includes 20 housing units with kitchen and separate entrance. The architecture integrates the natural setting of the site reflected by the wood framework of the structure’s exterior. The designer maximized the preservation of existing vegetation around the construction site in order to offer a view of the boreal forest and the lake that was created by the Gouin reservoir. A large living room in the back gives a direct access to the banks of the lake surrounded by forest.
