Heritage building built by the Montfortian Fathers and inhabited by them from 1925 to 2010. Today, Domaine Monfort de Nicolet, whose mandate is to preserve the site and its main building, has taken over the work of the Fathers in the occupation and the upgrading of their domain. In order to follow their mission, they decided to transform the former monastery into a rural hotel that can accommodate families for short stays as well as convention participants.
The hotel has 83 rooms, a convention center and a health center with indoor pool and spa year-round and an outdoor spa in summer with a rooftop terrace.
The design challenge was to preserve as much as possible the heritage character of the building while updating it to today’s hotel building standards.
